I’m very saddened to read that Ed passed on last year. We were in contact a # of years ago as he helped me w/my Genealogy project of the Goracy family. Even tho we determined that he & his family & my family were not related, he still remained as a warm & helpful friend. My condolences to all of his family. May he rest in eternal peace.

Dearest Mary Ellen and Family
It is with deep sadness that I read that Ed passed. We were Classmates, friends and trained together in the Bronx at Lincoln Hospital many years ago. We would run into one another at meetings and that warm smile and exuberant spirit was a welcome moment in my day. He was that kind of friend that even if we were not close if I needed him he would be there. You and your family will be in my prayers.
With Love
Vito

Dear Mary Ellen and family,
We are so very sorry to hear about Eddiie's passing. Both of us were out of the country when Alison told us the news. There are so many fond and funny memories that we have of Eddie. He was a good friend to all of us. He always made the company he was around laugh. God bless him and all of your family.
Fondly,
Butch and Judy Buonome

What a wonderful man to have known, however briefly and however casually. I will always feel honored to have received hugs and smiles from Dr. Goracy. I will miss his friendly ways and witty comebacks in this life and will look forward to seeing him again when we meet in heaven.
Prayers for healing and comfort for all his friends and family who are not ready to be at peace with his passing. Love is forever and continues, even though our bodies cannot.

I was very saddened to hear of your loss. Ed was so fun and generous. Some of my fondest high school memories are from our trips to Smugglers Notch and the vineyard. I will always remember Ed laughing heartedly as Brian and I clung with all our strength to our galloping horses. Our prayers are with Ed and your family.

To the Goracy Family,
Please accept our deepest condolences in this time of loss. On behalf of the Bulkeley High School Hall of Fame we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the entire famiyl
In the fall of 1957 I believe Ed was going to be the QB for the football team. Then Ed injured his shoulder and was not able to play. In 1957 BHS did not win a game and a big part of the reason was that we lost Ed as our QB..

To the entire Goracy family I send my most heartfelt condolences. The world is a little darker with the passing of such a beautiful spirit. Dr Goracy brought some much beauty and joy to so many lives. While he may not be here with us he is never more than a smile from our hearts. May God bless you all with peace and acceptance as you go through this most difficult time.
All my love and prayers.

We knew Ed and Mary Ellen through the Men's Garden Club of Wethersfield. Being able to socialize and joke with Ed was always one of the best parts of being in the club. And his gardening advice was always worthwhile. We remember particularly his training session on how to spray paint Astilbe to keep it looking colorful during the winter months, which he conducted in his magnificent backyard garden.
We will miss you Ed.

Ed will be missed by everyone, including us. We loved him and all of his family.
I will think of him and his superhero spirit every time I look or smell a flower and see a beautiful garden.
Les will be reminded of Ed every time he sees a fish or fly rod. He will miss his teasing and playful spirit.
We are ever so sad for his family who he loved very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
