Obituary of Roberta "Roby" E. Wendtland

Roberta (Roby) E. (Barrett) Wendtland, 75, of Glastonbury, wife of the late Richard N. Wendtland, died Tuesday June 12, 2018, surrounded by her family at Middlesex Hospital. Born March 5, 1943 in Weymouth, MA, daughter of the late W. Clayton and Robina (MacWilliam) Barrett, she had lived in Glastonbury since 1973. Prior to her retirement she was a realtor in Glastonbury. Roberta is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Bethany and Robert Schmidt of Glastonbury, her granddaughter Jordyn Schmidt (“Mimi’s little Firecracker”) of Glastonbury, her brother Ross Barrett of Berlin. A memorial service will be Friday June 15 at 10am in the First Church of Christ, Congregational, 2183 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will be private in the Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Thursday June 14 from 4-6pm. Friends may either send flowers or make donations to the CT.
