Obituary of John M. Fournier
John M. Fournier, 90, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Huguette (Nadeau) Fournier, died Tuesday June 26, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. “If we measure a man’s success by the number of friends he leaves behind, John was a Monumental Success”. Born November 18, 1927 in North Troy, VT, son of the late Joseph Arthur and Marie Anna (Letourneau) Fournier, he had lived in East Hartford for the past 64 years. He was co-owner of Eastern Typesetting Company and a member of the South Windsor Lions Club. Besides his wife of 65 years he is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Newton and Diane Wright and her husband Jeffrey, a grandson Bryan Wright and his wife Sara, 3 great grandchildren Jack, Kyleigh and James Wright, a brother Richard Fournier and his wife Betty Lee, a sister Yolanda Richard, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law David Newton, brothers Alphonse, Robert, and Roger, and sisters Rita and Jeanine. At John’s request there will be no calling hours or reception, and burial will be private. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday June 30 at 10am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford.
