Our beautiful little red bird chose to fly away and paint with the angels
Lorraine Johanna Crain
05/20/61 – 06/10/18
Lorraine, a loved mother of two and a talented woman, passed away before her time. Born Lorraine Johanna Chiorazzi in Leonia, New Jersey to James Chiorazzi and Lorraine Ricci, she was a resident of Glastonbury, CT since 1998. She is survived by her two sons, Joshua Crain of Hartford, CT, Jonathan Crain of Cambridge, MA, and her good friend Steven Gray. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ, Lorraine received a Master of Fine Arts at George Washington University. Lorraine’s creative side shined throughout her life. She designed the logo for the famous Smithsonian Museum which was featured on handbags, handbooks, and the like. Later in life, she turned to painting and knitting. Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM at the Hubbard Green Cemetery in Glastonbury, CT on September 9th. Lorraine liked bright funky clothes, so guests are encouraged to come in bright colors in her memory. Casual dress please. Afterwards we will meet at the Glastonbury Boathouse, 252 Welles St, Glastonbury CT, 06033 at 1:30 PM. Send flowers to your loved ones or friends and make them smile in her memory, or make a donation to the ASPCA, as Lorraine was an ASPCA Guardian during her life.
