Obituary of Paul J. Stefanik
Paul J. Stefanik, 84, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Norma (Chassie) Stefanik, died Sunday December 16, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. Born December 9, 1934 in Holyoke, MA, son of the late Paul J. and Helen (Tenczar) Stefanik, he lived in Glastonbury since 1980. After serving in the U.S. Army and working as a management consultant for Arthur Andersen, Paul owned and operated two manufacturing companies, Magni Bal and Gammons Hoaglund Co. in East Hartford. Family was most central to his being and he cultivated many special traditions to ensure connections between generations. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Gale, Carol and her partner Rick, Nancy and her husband Dan, Paul and his wife Beth, Diane, Jane and her husband Kevin, Elizabeth, and Debra. He also leaves his sisters and brother, Lorraine and her husband Jerry, Sandra, Carl, Joyce and Karen, his eight grandchildren, Stephen, Jordan, Nathan, Erin, Kaeden, Jake, Kira, and Taryn. He was predeceased by a brother Robert and two sisters, Pauline and Dorothy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Dec. 20 at 10am in St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Wednesday Dec. 19 from 5-7pm.
