Joyce was the best of friends, the only person I know I would willingly have shared raising my daughter with, and bonds of love have crossed oceans, miles and mountains. She was creative, sensitive, and a lovely person. I shall miss her every day. God bless her through eternity.

My prayerful sympathy and condolences to all you...I have a number of memories of Joyce, beginning with her enthusiastic support of quality and beauty in liturgical music - I remember seeing her at several events sponsored by the local chapter of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians... I also remember how she took me under her wings (at my mother's request) and first introduced me to the organ in the late '60's...In the early to mid 70's, Joyce and I worked beautifully together in promoting the cause of liturcial music at St. Augustine's Church...we had cantors back then - a handful of them! How many Sundays in those years I would cantor and lead music @ the 10:00 Mass, and then play @ 11:15 Mass...I remember so well when the parish purchased the Allen 2-manual instrument with speakers...it seemed like the cat's meow back then for our tiny church with its limited environs...Joyce was a faithful, unconditional friend - no spin...In the early 60's, when my family needed friends, she was there...I'll never forget my Confirmation day in March of 1963, when Joyce and heer family invited the three of us to their home for a Confirmation party - when we might not have observed it, or been invited elsewhere...One of my very first paying jobs as a fourteen-year-old was to pick strawberries on her farm. My mother always liked her, and could rely on her support unfailingly. Joyce, Joey offers this prayer for you...May the angels lead you into paradise...may the martyrs come welcome you and take you to the holy city, the new and eternal Jerusalem...may choirs of angels welcome you...and with Lazarus, who once was poor but now is poor no longer, may you have eternal rest!

To all Joyce's Family, Please know that Joyce and all of you are in my prayers. Joyce always did a splendid job as organist and choir director during my fifteen years as pastor at St. John Church in Cromwell. She performed her ministry with great devotion and professional expertise. For special occasions, 125th parish anniversary, Ordination, First Mass, Easter, Christmas, Confirmation, Joyce always went the extra mile, planned ahead and with gentle persuasion pulled the choir together for and outstanding and memorable occasion. Everyone loved her. Know that as we remember her she too is remembering all of us before our heavenly Father. May the Lord give you peace. Fr. Raymond

To all of Joyce's, my condolences. I remember very well singing in the choir at St Augustine's church under the direction of Mr Either, with Mrs Either playing the organ so beautifully. Some years later, Joyce taught me to play the organ and I played at the 11:15 mass for her. She was so patient with me. May you all have such wonderful memories of her.

So very sad I was to hear of Joyce's passing. I know that these past months were difficult for her, especially since she was such a busy and giving woman. I know that during her time of healing she was praying for all of us, and will continue to do so from her place in heaven. Please accept my condolences and know how much I have been blessed to have known your mother/grandmother and your whole family. All my prayers, Millie
