A real good man! When I first came to Glastonbury from Ohio in 1980 , I went to the old Citizens Bank to get a home loan! I was greeted at door by a young man and he said “I can try and help you” ! He did! That was George Rowe! I was a stranger in town but he made my wife and I feel like family!
I was surprised and heart broken to hear of his passing! We all have lost a good man, but he’s in good hands!

Sue and family: I am so sorry for the passing of your husband, father and grandfather. I have come to know your family through the years and have always thought of you all often, especially these past couple of years. Sue, what you wrote was so beautiful about your husband's doctor. (brought tears to my eyes) Sending you love during this difficult time.

To the family of George Rowe,
I had the pleasure of working with George at SBM. He was a true gentleman & a straight shooter whose friendship I valued. My sincere condolences.

George is my best friend who became the love of my life. We have three wonderful daughters & son-in-law’s and six grandchildren. He is known for his integrity, his great sense of humor and being one of the good guys. His death was a beautiful death surrounded by his family sharing memories and telling stories as he was leaving this world. He had a long journey for 2 years & 3 months fighting a Glioblastoma Brian Tumor. After George’s death our daughter reached out to his favorite doctor to notify him of his passing. George’s doctor responded that he was not sure what our beliefs were, but many people say that when one life ends, another life begins, and that those two lives are connected in some way. Well the doctor’s son was born earlier that evening. He hoped that his son carries on some of George’s spirit. Our daughter congratulated the doctor with the best news ever! She said: “My mother and sister’s are in awe. I’m so glad that something amazing came out of this evening. We were wondering what he was holding on for. Well now we all know.”
