Obituary of Rae Lynn Tillinghast

On the morning of Saturday, October 26^th, 2019 Rae Lynn Tillinghast passed away unexpectedly at the age of 18. 

She was born in Hartford, Connecticut on November 27^th, 2000 to parents Jean Caron and David Tillinghast.  She grew up as a Glastonbury resident.  She played soccer as a child and graduated from Glastonbury High School, class of 2018.  Her favorite classes included Art and English.  Rae worked many jobs, her most recent position was a lively hostess at Plan B restaurant.  She loved swimming at Watch Hill beach and Cotton Hollow.  Her music taste was second to none and animals clung to her.  Her smile was endless and her eyes twinkled brighter than any star; her laugh could lift anyone’s mood.

She is survived by her mother, Jean, and her father, David.  Her yellow lab Peter and her new kitty Luna.   Her older sisters Marie Caron and Paige Tillinghast, and her partner Bradley Murray.  Her maternal grandparents Helen and Jack Caron, and her paternal grandparents Lynn and George Tillinghast.  As well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 31^st, 11:00 AM at St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd, Glastonbury CT.  Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury CT on Wednesday, October, 30^th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Rae’s name to the Connecticut Humane Society www.cthumane.org.
