Obituary of Hazel A. Frye

Hazel A Frye, 94, a lifelong resident of Glastonbury, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother died Monday (December 28, 2020) at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. Hazel was born in Hartford on November 30, 1926 to William and Mary (Manning) Andrews. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Norwood Frye and a daughter Linda Johnson of Ft. Collins, CO. Hazel is survived by her son Richard and daughter-in-law Barbara Frye of Coventry, CT. four grandchildren, Patricia Berkowitz and her husband Mark of Danbury, CT. Jeffrey Johnson and his wife Beth of Twinsburg, OH. Matthew Johnson of FT Collins, CO. and Deborah Mitchell and her husband Michael of Vernon, CT. Hazel also leaves seven great children, Drew Berkowitz of Baltimore, MD. Kyle Berkowitz of Kansas City, MO. Bryce and Cayden Johnson of Twinsburg, OH. Ashley Frye of Salt Lake City, UT. and Vanessa and Victoria Mitchell of Vernon, CT. Hazel worked for Arbor Acres in Glastonbury and for many years served as their Personnel Manager. Due to the social distancing requirements of the Coronavirus there will not be a typical funeral service for Hazel, but a small immediate family only gathering at the grave site. If someone wishes to make a memorial donation in Hazel’s name, please make it to a charity of the donor’s choice.
