Annelies & Family,
When I first joined Gibson Associates, I was required to work in the field before I began my sales journey, this is where I first met Otto. The only thing I was told before heading to CT. was, to be on time. I got to the jobsite every morning about 30-45 minutes early and slept in my car. I was always woken up by a knock on my window with Otto saying "time to go to work". To this day, I have never met a man who was more dedicated to perfection or more of a company man than Otto. He an Annelies would have me over at least once a week and we enjoyed watching home videos, wonderful meals and great conversation.
Otto was an amazing man, a gentle and beautiful soul. I will miss him for the rest of my life. My wishes go out to the Koenig family and everyone else who feels the loss that I do.

Annelies and family-
Otto was an awe-inspiring guy. I miss that grin already... I believe I first met him 50 years ago when I was just a teenager installing for him. My father stopped by to see how the installation was going and when I popped out of the cabinet to say hello- Otto said " get back in there--it isn't break time." He was as solid a person as I have ever met. We of course went on to a working and more importantly a friendly relationship ever since that day.
And I do remember him playing the zither at the wedding. I was amazed that those bear claw hands could produce the tender music he provided. And let's not forget his Xmas carol singing at the company parties that bellowed throughout my house. He just simply made everyone smile--just by smiling himself.
I have never met anyone like Otto---and I don't expect to again. Now it's time to rest Otto--you earned it.
Love Ted

I met Opa through Amanda a few years ago when the Frantzen family was kind enough to invite me to be part of their Easter celebration. I had moved from Florida and had no family in the area but they graciously offered me a seat at the table. I remember meeting Opa and seeing the love he had for his family and their friends. He was very kind and asked me questions about my work and family. Years later when I moved back to Connecticut, he still remembered me from that Easter Day and always welcomed me with a smile. I am thankful for the memories I have of him and the stories Amanda has shared through the years. My heart goes out to Opa’s family and loved ones.

I will alway remember Otto for his embracing smile and love for his family. We have fond memories of playing cards and other board games on New Year’s Eve with Elisabeth and family, as well as the occasional summer cookout. We will miss Opa tremendously, and will remember him with fondness. Our love goes out to all his family.

I knew Opa through Amanda. Amanda always lit up while she talked about the latest trip to Opa’s cottage. In many ways, I felt like I knew Opa well because of all the stories that Amanda would tell me about him. I met Opa for the first time during Amanda’s engagement party and he treated me like one of his own. I will miss Opa but I’ll never stop smiling, listening to Amanda’s Opa stories.
