Jimmy - I was saddened to see Yaeko's passing in the Citizen. I only knew her a little through the casino and the Hills but I was always impressed by how sweet she was. I was also impressed by the obvious love you two shared. Please accept my condolences. Jon Fredrickson

Dear Jim and Takashi, Mari and Kenji,
So sorry to hear the news of your dear wife and Mother’s passing. The neighborhood has certainly changed over the years. I now have the picture Yako painted for my parents anniversary many years ago. She was a very talented painter and I heard a great cook. I think it was the first time my parents ate Japanese food so many years ago.
My deepest condolence.

Dear Jimmy,
I am so sorry that you have lost your beloved Yaeko. I still talk about learning Japanese cooking from her in the basement on your ping pong table, which she did because you told her she had to earn her own money to buy a car!
You had a long life with her and I know you have many wonderful memories to help you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Hugs,
Martey Rhine
