Obituary of Hallie Hollister

Hallie (Earle) Hollister, 75, of S. Glastonbury passed away at home on Tuesday, September14, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.  For 47 years, she was the beloved wife of Brian C. Hollister. A lifelong resident of Glastonbury, Hallie was the daughter of the late Dr. Benjamin Baylis and Constance (House) Earle.  Hallie was an avid member of the Glastonbury Pony Club and a graduate of GHS.  She worked as a vet tech and as a Paraprofessional in Special Education.  She was a member of the Congregational Church in South Glastonbury, she loved being a member of the choir and was passionate about mission work. Music and art were a dynamic part of her life which she shared with many.  Hallie loved to entertain, cook, bake, travel, sports and especially loved being on the shore.

In addition to her husband, Hallie is survived by her son, Benjamin Hollister and wife Hannah of ME; daughter, Hallie-Beth Hollister and husband Carl Girouard of MA; sister-in-law Carole Earle of Glastonbury and grandchildren Baylis Hollister Eggleston, Lorelai Hollister and Austin Girouard.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, J. Baylis Earle, Thomas Earle and wife Kay.  She treasured her nieces and nephews and loved to host family gatherings and celebrations.

There will be an outdoor Memorial Service at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 21^st where all are welcome, reception immediately following.  Friends who are unable to attend the memorial service, are welcome to visit the family during the reception.  The Congregational Church in South Glastonbury 949 Main Street, South Glastonbury, CT.  In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Congregational  Church in South Glastonbury or to Habitat for Humanity at www.habitat.org.
