Obituary of Jean Ladika
Jean Ladika, 85, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of Joseph J. Ladika, passed away Monday April 22, 2013, at her daughters home surrounded by her loved ones. Born February 24, 1928 in Manchester CT, daughter of the late Gerald and Ruth (Ballsieper) Goodall, she had lived in Glastonbury for the past 50 years. Jean was a communicant of St. Paul Church, and a member of the League of the Sacred Heart. She was the treasurer of AARP in Glastonbury for the past 10 years. Jean had worked for the Hartford National Bank, Glastonbury Bank & Trust and the Housemaster Home Inspection Services. Her greatest joy came from her family, church and friends. Besides her husband of 63 years, she is survived by her daughter Joanne Solecki and her husband Thomas of Hebron CT, her son Edward Ladika and his partner Edward Potyrala of MA, a brother Edward Goodall of CA, and two grandchildren Matthew and Erica Solecki of Hebron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 25 at 11am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Wednesday April 24 from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Church.
