Joe and I enjoyed Bill as our neighbor and friend for many years. We have wonderful memories of him great conversations, dancing, drinks, signing, LR fireplace get togethers and New years eve at our house he always enjoyed a party and was fun to have at all get togethers just ask him and he would be there. He was very fortunate to have such a wonderful full life and blessed with good health. He will be missed and was a legend!!! Love Joe and Kathy Barnas and our deceased poodle Colby who loved to go over to Bill's and sit by his side and watch TV with him and Bill with scotch in hand and Colby at his lap.

Dear family and friends of Bill,
On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans, we offer our sincere condolences at Bill´s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are always saddened whenever a fellow "Bubblehead" departs on Eternal Patrol. He served with honor on the USS Cobbler SS-344.
To our "Brother-of-the-Phin" we say, "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. Fair Winds and Following Seas." Thank you for your service to our country.
To the family... "may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you." 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (ESV).
Jim Sandman, FTC(SS) Ret,
National Chaplain, USSVI.
