Obituary of Benjamin E. Stulpin
Benjamin E. Stulpin, 72, of Marlborough, beloved husband of Linda Emory Addington, died Thursday October 13, 2022 at home, after an 18-month battle with lung cancer. His wife took care of him every day. Born July 26, 1950 in Hartford, son of the late Benjamin P. and June (Alexander) Stulpin, he had lived in Marlborough for the past 34 years. He served in the US Marines, stationed on the USS Intrepid, during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a caretaker for many years for an estate in Somers and as a delivery driver for DHL before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing at Lake Champlain, VT with family & friends. He also enjoyed hunting, hiking, traveling and gardening. Ben was a very giving, generous, caring person who was always there to lend a hand. He had so many close friends and family that were there by his side (Dave, Ray, Carmelo, Matt and many more). He loved spending time with his grandchildren. They had a special place in his heart.
Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Michael Stulpin and his wife Catherine of West Suffield, Michael Addington and his wife Nicole of Marlborough, Robert Addington and his wife Jessica of South Windsor and Eric Stulpin of Texas, 3 sisters and their husbands, Cynthia and James Klemyk of Deland, FL, Beverly and Luis Martina of Manchester, Betty and Leonard Lacasse of Somers and 6 grandchildren Bethany, Benjamin, Grayson, Derek, Charolotte and Keller. He was predeceased by a son Benjamin Stulpin. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday Oct. 21 from 12noon to 2:00pm. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2:30pm in Green Cemetery, Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter.
