Obituary of Lawrence Puchalsky, Jr.

Lawrence “Larry” Puchalsky, 62, of Glastonbury passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Donna Ann Puchalsky (Smith) who he married on May 26^th 1990.

Born in Milford, he was the son of Lawrence and Barbara (Hornick) Puchalsky. Larry graduated from George J. Penny High school in 1978, was class president and the editor of the school paper. He was a lifelong Union Brother. Larry started with New England Health Care Local 1199, joined the Teamsters Local 671, and lastly joined I.B.E.W Local 35 in 1999 as a Journeyman Electrician and was an active member for 23 years. He had a passion for coaching his sons and their friends. Larry was their soccer coach from a young age before he took over coaching and running Glastonbury Youth Wrestling from 2002-2008. He was an avid sports fan. One of his favorite activities was having his sons and their friends over Sunday mornings for breakfast to watch Arsenal compete in the English Premier League, who are on top of the table when he left this world. Larry was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. In his later years, Larry enjoyed woodworking and would often surprise friends and family with handmade gifts.

In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he is survived by his sons Lawrence Puchalsky III and Nicholas Winfred Puchalsky, his brother-in-law David Smith, his sisters-in-law Linda Gorman, Frances Ouellette, Sandra Smith, many loving nieces, nephews and friends, as well as his niece Rachael Kennedy and her husband Kevin whose children Scarlett, Jeramyah and Lathan who would lovingly refer to him as Grandpa Uncle Larry. Also his sisters Lynn Olszewski, Janice Carson, Gail Puchalsky, his brother Kenneth Puchalsky, 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Road, Glastonbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
