Obituary of Wanda S. Bane

Wanda Bane

January 13, 1973 - February 16, 2023

Wanda passed away peacefully on February 16th, 2023, with members of her family by her side.

Wanda Bane, daughter of Linda and Ernie Browning of Hebron CT, was born in Hartford. Wanda graduated from RHAM High School, and earned her bachelor of science in Business Administration from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1996. She was a long-term employee of Cigna, working in the IT Department.

Aside from her husband, Liam Bane, and her daughter, Rylee Bane, she is survived by her mother, Linda; her two brothers, Mark Browning, Brian Browning, and his wife Ashley; her father-in-law, Neil Bane; her brother & sister-in-law Pat and Rosi Bane of Germany; and her sister & brother-in-law, Colleen and Jack Katz of Bethesda, MD. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, Michael, Victoria, Caleb and Cameron. She is predeceased by her father, Ernie Browning.

Wanda loved walking with friends, beach vacations, her cat, Oreo, weekend getaways with friends, and hosting dinner parties.

Wanda had everything she wanted in life - her family, especially her daughter, and a network of friends that she considered family. Her light had shone so brightly - she touched the lives of everyone she met. She was kind and considerate, someone who treaded lightly. She was patient, and always brought out the best in others. She battled cancer without complaint, a symbol of her astounding resilience. We thank her for teaching us all how to be kind, how to be strong, and how to love others more than ourselves. She will be greatly missed.
