It wasn't until we got back into town this week that we learned of Donna's passing, and sorry we were indeed to see her obituary in last week's "Citizen," We got to know Donna first from dog walking in the Green Cemetery, her with Higbee, and us with Houndsley. What more need we say than what a glorious and extra-large personality, the very epitome of the Jersey girl that she was and that brought such warmth, sunshine, and exuberance to oftentimes dour New England. There was never a dull moment in a conversation with Donna and always a vociferous guffaw just about to break forth from a woman who always seemed to take such great pleasure in just being alive. One couldn't help but brighten up in her mid-summer presence, even in the dead of winter. What a shame that she was taken so soon, and what a loss to all who knew her. Our deepest condolences to her family who we know have been going through a lot for several years now.
Sincerely and appreciatively,
Mike and Stacie Berdan

Your warmth, kind spirit and beautiful smile drew so many people to you. 'And how you would light up whenever you spoke of Kelsey, Darby and Billy. 'Your love and pride for them bursting from you like the sun's rays. I wish you were still here, but I know you are in Heaven keeping watch over them and reuniting with family and friends who've gone before. I will miss you my dear friend "Mrs. Finn" and without a doubt, will think of you often.

To know Donna was to know the immense love, care and support she had for others. She had the ability to light up a room with her charisma, laughter, love and kindness. I had the absolute privilege of working with her at Polaris the last several years and I am so grateful and thankful to consider her a friend. She made a positive impact on everyone in school, from staff to student. To her children and loved ones, I am sending my condolences and love to you all. She spoke so highly of her children and she would light up with love and utter happiness when she spoke about each one of you and your accomplishments. We will continue to celebrate Donna’s life and all of the love, laughter and kindness she shared.

Donna was an absolute ray of sunshine. It was a joy having the opportunity to work with her for the past several years at Polaris. Donna always greeted with a hug and a smile and genuine interest in and compassion for those around her. Polaris and this world just are not the same without her energy and kindness. My thoughts are with her family, especially her kids whom she spoke so highly of. Donna, thank you for always being the brightest part of the day.

Mrs Finn will be remembered as the most wonderful, joyful, and warmest woman I've ever encountered. I had the pleasure of introducing her to my baby, Lucia, last summer and was tickled at how pleased it made her. Requiescat in pace, Mrs Finn, and enjoy your eternal reward. I will miss you.

My deepest condolences to her children, family and friends. I worked with Donna at Polaris for several years. She amazed me with her kindness, generosity, laughter and beautiful spirit. I spent time with her and friends at her home and she always made us feel very welcomed. To her children, your mom’s legacy will continue to prosper. She was always so proud of each one of you and her face lit up the room when she spoke of you guys! We will miss her, but most importantly, we will celebrate her!

I was lucky to work closely with her for several years as teachers at the Polaris Center. We laughed and cried as we shared our challenges and successes. Her family was always front and center and she shared many wonderful stories of her children. She graced our staff room with baked treats and flowers on holidays and for any reason and contributed ongoing support to both staff and students. I offer condolences to her children, other family members and close friends. Her bright light will not be diminished.
