Berto was the most generous and passionate person I met in Manchester Little League. He helped my son Luke hit better Fall 2021 with his practical and right-on-point tips. He always shared his time, food from hunting trips, food for doubleheader travel baseball games, a cold beverage, great stories and much laughter.
We will miss him very much. He was so great to hang out with and enjoy baseball or just talking about life.
Our prayers and hearts go out to his whole family.
God bless you and know that Berto made a positive impact on our family.

We had the pleasure of meeting Roberto during Jayden’s Manchester Little League, I have to say he was an amazing man and always made sure the boys were supported. We just want to express our deepest sympathy and thoughts and prayers to the family during this tough time. ⚾️

I had the pleasure of working with Roberto in his capacity as a contractor for 10+ years. He was always upbeat and positive every time we spoke or interacted in person. He had a great attitude and never seemed to let anything get him down. Roberto generously shared with me some of his Alaskan Salmon after one of his fishing trips. I am truly sad to know he has passed and offer my sincerest condolences to his father, immediate and extended family, as well as his many friends.

I met Berto many years ago on the softball fields of Manchester as a player and an umpire. He had a boundless passion for life, his family and his friends. He told me the story of how his family escaped from Cuba, made their way to South America and finally landed in the United States, all while he continued to play the game of baseball. It was a life of perseverance and hard work, but filled with love for all of the people he encountered along the way. His family was his pride and joy, particularly his grandchildren. Berto had the greatest impact on me during the past four years as he helped me coach the Ansaldi team in the Manchester Little League program. Berto spent countless hours training and coaching his very talented grandson, Julian, as well as all of the other players on the team. Berto's special talent was the time he would spend with the players who were struggling and with much patience and understanding, he would guide them to success on the baseball field. He was the best coach any little league player could have. We will miss you Coach Berto - I will miss you Berto my friend and I will be thinking of you whenever I am on a baseball field, a softball field or cooking on the grill with a beer in my hand! You touched the lives of so many people.
