Obituary of Jennie A. Kane

Jennie A. (Civitillo) Kane, 87, of Glastonbury, CT, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Hospital of Central CT, New Britain.  She was the widow of Michael V. Kane, Jr.  Born in East Hartford, CT, Jennie was the daughter of the late Matteo and Christina (Chiarizia) Civitillo.

Jennie married her high-school sweetheart, "Mickey", after he completed his studies at UConn.  They moved to Glastonbury where they raised four daughters and made lifelong friends.  Mom, Nana, loved sister, Aunt, mother-in-law, meant so much to so many.  Jennie was the best of the best, she fed us all both body and soul, her wishes for her grandchildren, "be good, be safe, be kind", she will be greatly missed. 

Surviving are her four daughters, Kathleen M. Kammeraad and her husband Robert of NH, Mary Ann Hart and her husband Scott of NH, Christine M. Dombeck and her husband Stephen of Coventry, CT, Margaret A. Kane of Glastonbury, CT, her grandchildren, Alex Dombeck, Michael Hart and David Hart, and her sister Mary Susca of Glastonbury, CT.  In addition to her parents and husband, Jennie was predeceased by her sister Ann Proctor.
