Obituary of Ronald K. Staten

Ronald K. Staten, 81, of Coventry, CT, formerly of Manchester and Glastonbury, CT, beloved husband of Kathleen J. Staten, passed peacefully into eternal life, while at home, on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.  Born in Gloucester, MA, Ron was the son the of late Everett and Suzanne (Powers) Staten. Besides his wife, Ron is survived by his daughter Janice Staten Bjorkland of Bethel, ME, and his son Ken Staten and wife Nancy, of Coventry.  Ron is also survived by three grandchildren that he cherished: Amanda Bjorkland Galaxia, and Mary Beth and Luke Staten.  Ron is predeceased by his sister Janice Ormezzani and brother George Staten. Ron was a U.S. Army veteran, a graduate of the University of Hartford, and the Regional Marketing Manager for the Northeast, and subsequently Southeast, U.S. regions for Colson Corporation.  Ron was an avid billiards player and loved spending time with family.  He will be greatly missed. A calling hour for visitation will take place on Monday December 18th from 9:30 am – 10:30 am at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave, Glastonbury.  Following the visitation hour, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd, Glastonbury.  Burial will follow immediately in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury.
