Dear Elisabeth, Kyle and Family, Carola, Michael and Family,
Our deepest Sympathy in the passing of your beloved Mother. Annelies, my best Friend for over forty years! We met in 1973 and we just clicked. We brought our families together and our Husbands became good friends, as did our Kids because we were together every weekend. Annelies was the kindest, most generous and loving person in the world. I admired her energy and talent. She was an excellent cook and baker, just to mention a few of her many talents.
Most of all she was a dear and loving friend. I miss her dearly. I miss our long phone calls when she’d say “oh my we talked almost an hour”, but then we’d go on talking. We never ran out of conversation in our forty years as best Friends . I still talk to her !

Martine and Del Bernais posted a condolence

Our friendship with Annalies and Otto began when Del was hired to install a Septic System at the cottage in Lebanon in 2011; They were both so warm and welcoming that we easily became friends. Annalies was always busy, working at the cottage or at her home in Glastonbury, she never seemed to tire of making her homes beautiful. She always was ready to make a meal and treat her guests. When my Mom died she gave me the support and comfort I needed. We shared many meals together at the cottage, at her home and our home. We admired her fortitude and perseverance, never giving up at any task. We were welcomed into her family and shared many family parties at her home and ours. Our grandchildren loved being with her many afternoons fishing at Lake Williams. Annalies gave of herself in so many ways. I always told Del that Annalies was my role model. We truly loved and admired her and miss her. Del and Martine Bernais

To the family of Annelies Koenig, I send my sincere condolence for your loss, and hope you realize that your loss is our loss here at Grace Lutheran Church as well. That is true especially for me. If there was ever an angel on Earth, she was truly one. She had a calming smile that could light up a room. When I was ill and stayed away from worship a few weeks, she became very concerned and reached out to me through others and a heart warming note. She assured me that everything will be alright. The note was a welcomed surprise because I didn't realized she paid any attention to me since we sat on the opposite side of the church. She was quite a lady and cared for everyone she encountered. I hope you can find some small comfort in your good memories and in the thought of the happy years you shared.

We were one of Annelies’ neighbors and we were so sorry to hear about her passing. We always enjoyed stopping to talk with her when she was out working in her beautiful yard. Our daughter, Avery, especially enjoyed visiting with her. She will be missed. Thinking of your family during this difficult time.
