Obituary of Peter E. Rodick

Peter E. Rodick, 76, of Manchester, formerly of Wethersfield and Glastonbury,  passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Born in Bangor, Maine, he was the son of the late John A. Rodick II and Louise (Getchell) Rodick. Peter was a graduate of Wethersfield High School and went on to earn his Associate Degree. He was a highly decorated combat veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Army. Peter fought on the border of Cambodia and was later afflicted with Parkinsons Disease due to his exposure to Agent Orange. He worked as a manager at many different department stores, including Kmart, Cumberland Farms and Walgreens. Peter was an avid sports fan and was an especially dedicated fan of the Boston Red Sox.  He loved the ocean and spent many hours sailing on Long Island Sound and along the Connecticut shoreline.

Peter is survived by his two brothers, John A. Rodick III and his wife Elvia of Coventry, William E. Rodick and his wife Rita of Glastonbury, his nephews David Scallion of Glastonbury, Jeffrey A. Rodick and his wife Rebecca of Manchester, and his niece Kimberly L. Guardino and her husband Dr. Paul Guardino of Manchester.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial with military honors will be in Green Cemetery, Glastonbury. There are no calling hours. For online condolences, please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
