Obituary of Jeffrey P. Kristoff
Jeffrey Paul Kristoff, a resident of Farmington since 2000, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024. He was the son of Mark Henry Kristoff and Mary Ann (Madore) Kristoff. He was born in Manchester, CT, on September 18, 1962. He grew up in Vernon, CT, Concord, NH, Bristol, CT, and West Haven, CT, where he played football, had many friends and graduated from West Haven High School.
Jeff continued his education at the Connecticut School of Electronics, New Haven College and Southern Connecticut State University, where he studied teaching and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.
After college, Jeff chose to work in Information Technology. He worked for AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Avaya and the Hartford Insurance Company. Jeff installed and maintained telephone systems all over the State of CT, and parts of New York. Jeff retired early, one month before he turned 54.
Jeff was a nature lover. He loved spending time outdoors, and when he was younger, spent many days hiking up the mountain at Sleeping Giant State Park with friends. He also recalled fondly all of the early morning walks he took with his brother Glen and Glen’s dog Beans, when they both lived in West Haven.
In retirement, Jeff enjoyed long walks at Hammonassett, Ocean Beach and the Farmington River trail. Jeff also enjoyed playing his many guitars, writing songs, and dabbling with his art projects. Most importantly, he enjoyed doing exactly what he wanted to do every single day, instead of rushing off to work somewhere.
Jeff was predeceased by his parents Mary Ann (2012) and Mark (2020). He will be deeply missed by his sister Laura Gangi (Michael Motta), his brother Glen Kristoff (Terry), niece Tiffany Gangi (Eric Weaver), his great-nephew, Toni Gangi, nieces Allegra, Shelby and Remie, and great-niece, Kinsey.
Services will take place on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, CT. Visitation will precede the service and take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
