Obituary of Bette Smith

Bette (Walker) Smith, 87, of South Glastonbury, wife of the late Earl E. Smith, died Wednesday August 28, 2013 at the Glastonbury Health Care Center. Born December 10, 1925 in Lockhart, SC, daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel (Hardin) Walker she had lived in Glastonbury since 1991. Prior to her retirement she worked for UTC in the Industrial Securities department. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Robin and Tony Bisi of South Glastonbury, a son Ren Tilton of Florida, 3 grandchildren; Stephanie Finn and her fiance; Vance Spicer of Brooklyn, NY, Amanda Martin and her husband Billy of Jensen Beach, FL, Randy Tilton of FL and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Ransom Tilton, Jr. and a brother Jimmy Walker. Funeral service will be Tuesday September 3 at 12 noon in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 10am until time of service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
