Dear Mullen Family,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Fran. I have very fond memories of him coming to my frame shop to drop off a new treasure that he had found for his collections. He would spend hours filling me in on the history of his find whether it was a classic movie poster or a rare civil war print. I am very fortunate to have known him.
Kind Regards,
Joe Courchaine

We had met the Mullens years ago at Fantasyland amusement park and hung out having lots of fun years ago. The weather started to get bad and they invited us back to their camp site and we spent the night with them in their camper. Total of 8 of us and we all fit in and had a great time. From that day on we had became best of friends to this day. Fran was a great man we are going to miss him very much as well as Football Pig. We had this small orange stuffed animal pig and Fran as funny as he was gave it the name of Football Pig. Now he is in heaven with my father talking about the good old days, parties, trains and the World Trade Center in which my Dad was the building manager of the south tower and when the Mullens came to visit us we brought hem there. As you can see in the picture that is Laura and my youngest brother on top of the world. The day he is being laid to rest is Uncle Tony Raffiaelli's Birthday. When the two of them meet the entire day was nothing but jokes.
We all are going to miss him very much.

When I saw the smiling face in his obituary, I knew this was Frank "Moon" Mullen from my younger days in the south end of Hartford. We often played basketball in his back yard with our gang of friends. Shared many laughs with Frank. My condolences to his family on their loss.

Frank was a great friend and the best next door neighbor that anyone could ever ask for, always willing to lend a hand or two for any task. One day Frank and I decided that we could “bury” my in ground swimming pool by hand. After 2 straight grueling days attacking the project with pick axes, crow bars and a lot of sweat and profanity we called a contractor, which most normal folks would have done from the start but no task was as too big for “Big Frank” to help out his neighbor. R.I.P. big guy!!!
