Obituary of Sharon E. Kwash
Sharon Kwash, age 80, cherished wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2024. Sharon was born June 6, 1944, in Utica, NY, graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School, and graduated from Elizabeth Seaton College in Yonkers, NY. She began her career at Aetna, where she met her husband Ted, with whom she shared 55 years of loving marriage. Her most fulfilling position was working for 15 years as a medical assistant for her dearest brother, Dr. John Price.
Sharon had a passion for games—board games, casino games, and especially bridge, where she and Ted excelled together and spent countless hours with friends at Hartford Bridge Club. She loved dancing and singing, and was a Renaissance woman who could reupholster a chair, paint intricate ornaments, sew costumes, knit beautiful baby clothes, and bake a delicious apple pie.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband, Ted, daughters Kristin Sziklas, Kimberly Gabriel, Jennifer Keeler, grandchildren Sam, Catherine, Quinn, Olivia, Max, Ava, and beloved brother John Price. She will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, creativity, and infectious laughter.
Sharon’s family will receive friends on, Tuesday, July 9, 5-7pm, Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 10 at 10am at St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd., Glastonbury followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
