Obituary of Marilyn Fagnoni

Marilyn (Miller) Fagnoni, 87, of South Glastonbury joined her beloved husband, Robert J. Fagnoni, in heaven on Sunday, July 7, 2024. 

Born in Hartford, Marilyn was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Dietter) Miller.  In addition to Marilyn’s husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son Andrew Fagnoni, her brothers Wayne and Billy Miller, and her sisters Diane Surwill and Marjorie Adams.

Marilyn was married to her “Bobby” for 52 years.  Bobby and Marilyn designed and built their dream home in 1964 and settled in the hills of South Glastonbury. Marilyn worked at Belltown Hill Orchards then became Joey’s devoted right hand at Mermaid Pools for the next forty years.  With all of her knowledge about the pool industry, she quickly became known as “The Mermaid” to her family, friends and customers.  Marilyn and her family spent summers in Quonochontaug, RI and winters in Marathon Key and at their home in the Berkshires. They also traveled the US and Europe.  Marilyn loved playing cards and monthly outings with the “Pussycats.”  Marilyn was a lifelong member of  St. Augustine Church.  

She is survived by her three sons, Paul Rudy of GA, Mark Fagnoni of South Glastonbury, Christopher Fagnoni and his wife Erin of South Glastonbury, her grandchildren, Aleksander Rudy, Morgan Coletta, Benjamin Mack and Louis Fagnoni, and her brother, Colin Miller. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 24th at 10:30 am at Ss. Isidore and Maria Parish in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Lab Rescue P.O.
