Obituary of Claire Pouliot

Claire L. Pouliot, 85, passed away on October 27, 2013. She was born on July 24, 1928 in Tarrytown, New York to the late John and Lillian O'Connor. She grew up in Berlin, New Hampshire. After marrying her now late husband, Roger Pouliot, they eventually settled and raised their children in Milford, CT. She enjoyed a career at BIC Corporation as an executive assistant and retired after 25 years. Upon her retirement she and her husband moved to Florida to enjoy the sunshine for eighteen years. In 2007, she moved to CT to be closer to her family. She traveled to many places including Europe, the Caribbean Islands and Egypt. During her life she enjoyed reading, playing bridge, skiing, golf and a great love for her dogs, especially "Bichi". Claire is survived by her brother Francis O'Connor of Wayland, MA; her sons Gary Pouliot and his wife Mary of Hebron, CT and Stephen Pouliot and his wife Janine of Mexico and two grandchildren, Megan Knight and her husband Jeffrey of Ashford, CT and Gregory Pouliot and his wife Sarah of Novi, Michigan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was also most recently predeceased by her sister Joanne Lombardi and brother-in-law Anthony and sister-in-law Bernadine O'Connor. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during the visitation hour which will be on Saturday November 2 from 10 to 11am followed by a memorial service at 11am at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial at the Gilead Cemetery, Hebron will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill, CT. 06067.
