Obituary of John Garrish

John J. Garrish Jr., 80, of Danbury, CT, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by Frances Q. Garrish, his beloved wife of 50 years. He was born to the late John and Kathleen Garrish, July 15, 1933, in New York, New York. After high school, he served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. John graduated from CCNY and worked as an opto-mechanical engineer at Perkin-Elmer. He had been a resident of Danbury for 45 years. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving children and their spouses: Anne and her husband Mark of Glastonbury; Mary of Newington; John and his wife Gaby of West Hartford; and Kerry and her husband Derek of Danbury. His 7 grandchildren are Daniel and Ryan Frances Miela, John 'Jay', Kevin, Charles and Ansley Garrish, and Liam Hannon. He will be dearly missed by all. Funeral service and burial will be private.
