Obituary of Shirley Brunkhardt

Shirley Ware (Golla) Brunkhardt, 91, of Methuen, MA, formerly of South Glastonbury, wife of the late Frederick W. Brunkhardt, died Monday November 4, 2013 at the Nevins Nursing Home, Methuen, MA. Born January 1, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Harold Golla and Lucille Aline (Ware) Grant she had lived in South Glastonbury many years moving to New Hampshire seven years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1984 she was a Social Worker for Village for Family and Children. Shirley was a member of the Red Hat Society, the National Association of Social Worker's, the Congregational Church in South Glastonbury, the Guilford College Alumni Association and the Association for the Education of Young Children. Shirley is survived by her two daughters and their husbands; Pamela and Gary Tepolt of Pelham, NH, Robyn and Paul Guimont of Glastonbury and four grandchildren; Carolyn K. Tepolt, W. Brent Tepolt, Edward P. Guimont and Kathryn L. Guimont. She was predeceased by a daughter, Leslie Scott Brunkhardt and a brother, Richard Ware. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday Nov. 16 at 2:30 pm in the Congregational Church in South Glastonbury with the Rev. Richard Allen officiating. Burial will be private in Old Church Cemetery, Glastonbury. There are no calling hours.
