Ione and Family, The memories shared at your mom's service left me with the thought that your humor and caring are the wonderful legacy that your Mom leaves and such a fitting tribute to her life. May your humor and memories comfort you during this difficult time.

It takes a village...... Glenis was a very strong anchor for me in "my village." Frequently during my turbulent youth, she guided me wisely and with great finesse into a direction I might not have chosen. My thoughts and prayers are with Ted and her daughters.

Dear Ted, Ione, and Marion, and all of your family, What a beautiful service yesterday. As I care for my mom who also has Alzheimer's, I know the pain and grief of losing pieces of our loved ones along their end of this life journey. The memories of who Glenis is and what she has meant to so many people will live on. At St. John's, Niantic, my parish, we always paid her with love and zucchini first. She returned that love in her all encompassing compassion, pastoral care, and wonderful humor. I'm forever grateful for some of the counsel she shared with me. May God and God's peace be with you, as we rest in the knowledge that Glenis is in God's peace now. Christie Hayes

Ted...Although I did not know Glenis I pray that she has entered into the nearer presence of Jesus with no pain or confusion, but of the love that she had for each of you and for those whom she shared the love of Jesus through her ministry.

Dear Ione and Marion, I'm so sorry to learn about the loss of your mother. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend her memorial service, tomorrow. I just wanted to let you know that I remember you and your family, and the kindness and hospitality that you showed my mother, Nancy, my brother, Jim, and me when we were younger, and you lived in Mystic. Bless you and your family. -Heidi

My heart hurts over Glenis' loss. I've known the Mollegens since they attended St. Marks in Mystic when I was young; I babysat for Ione and Marion many times! She really was a passionate and healing soul. My prayers are with you Ted, Ione, and Marion. <3

Glenis was the rector at St. Paul's Willimantic at a spiritual crossroad in my life. Through her patience and wisdom she helped me, coming from a very different Christian expression, understand what it means to be yourself and fully be immersed into the Body of Christ. Though I haven't seen Glenis in many years, I can't tell you how much she meant to me as a Christian and thank God for having put her in my path along this life journey.

Dear Ted, I an saddened to hear about the loss of Glenis and that loss is heightened by knowing all that you, she and the family went through for many years. Glenis was a caring person who dedicated much of her time to assisting and guiding people in a manner that only she could give. However, Glenis was funny, with a quick wit and was usually the brightest bulb in the room as Gary would say. I remember that Ralph DelSanto,Sr. told her that she should have a pair of red shoes like the Pope after she was ordained. I also attended her ordination event at St. John's in Niantic. Gary was out of town and I thought I would just go for a quick visit and I was amazed at the excitment and joy of the crowd. It was more like a coronation. The event was a display of pride, support and love for Glenis by those who knew her spirit, strength and tireless devotion to her work and those she would serve. Here's to Glenis and remembering her for her great works. Best thoughts and wishes to you and the family, Frankie Bennett

Ted and family, I still remember as a girl visiting you and Glennis, Ione and Marian with mom and dad and John when we lived in Stonington and all worshiped at St. Mark's. Time is crazy. My boys are the age I was then (8 and 10). Dad and John are gone, and mom is in a wheelchair, recovering from a broken leg. I've been out of touch all these years, and yet (and so?) having brunch, and hearing Glennis talk about the challenges of male-dominated divinity school to mom seems like yesterday. Later I went to Wellesley too, and I think that in part it had to be because after all, Wellesley women were the type to go on and break those glass ceilings. My best to you and yours at this time, Sarah Arnold, Yonkers, NY (Beth and Les Arnold's daughter). (Mom does not know as yet but will let her know today).
