Obituary of Francis Repoli

Francis N. Repoli, 88, of Glastonbury, husband of Dorothy (Pelletier) Repoli, died Tuesday December 31, 2013 at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born October 20, 1925 in Hartford son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Pinto) Repoli, he had lived in East Hartford, Newington and Glastonbury. He was the former owner of Mickey's Drive In in East Hartford and Wethersfield. He graduated from East Hartford High School class of 1943 and served in the US Army during World War II. He was a member of Indian Hill Country Club in Newington, was an avid Red Sox, Celtics and UCONN men and women's basketball fan. Frank had a great dry sense of humor and was a role model and mentor to many family members and friends. He lived a humble life and most of all enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his wife he is survived by his five children and their spouses; Dennis F. and Pamela Repoli of South Glastonbury, Anne R. and Kurt Nyman of South Glastonbury, Daniel N. and Mary Ann Repoli of Glastonbury, Douglas C. and Lisa Repoli of East Hampton and David J. Repoli of Bloomfield, NJ. He also leaves 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a brother Donald Repoli of Andover, a sister Rose Brown of Glastonbury and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to his caregiver Jonas. He was predeceased by 2 sisters Theresa Rizzo and Diana Kamis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Jan. 3 at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial will be in the spring in Neipsic Cemetery.
