Obituary of D. Yoo

D. Joon Yoo (born 12/29/1938) of 372 Forest Lane, Glastonbury, passed away on May 1st morning after a brief illness. Mr. Yoo was born into a scholarly family. His relatives include Yoo Ching Go (兪鎮午), the first chancellor of Korea University and the author of the current South Korean Constitution. Mr. Yoo came to this country as a Fulbright scholar. His forty-year career in business included positions as Managing Director of Money Management at Aetna Financial Division, Chief Investment Officer at Cadre Securities, and Chief Investment Officer at Liberty International. Upon retirement, he became an Adjunct Professor at University of Connecticut School of Business. He was baptized as a Roman Catholic just before he passed away. He leaves his wife, Mitsuko T. Yoo, a Certified Public Accountant, son Scott Y., a conductor and violinist, and son Brad J., an academic orthopaedic trauma surgeon. He also leaves his sister, Jeong Yoo of Seoul, South Korea.
