Obituary of Marietta Fasi

Marietta Feconda Fasi, 91, of South Glastonbury, died Sunday June 8, 2014. She was born December 11, 1922 to Angelo and Josephine (Dimucci) Feconda in Canonsburg, Pa. The eighth of ten siblings, she held a lifelong love for her hometown, her childhood memories and her family ties. She married and raised her family in Windsor, CT. When her eldest child began high school she, along with a close friend, became part-time employees of G. Fox & Co., a shared experience she recalled with fondness. After a brief hiatus at home, she returned to work again as a secretary in the Weaver High School media center. At Weaver she formed new friendships and was much appreciated by the students and staff. She enjoyed travel throughout the United States as well as China, Hong Kong and Italy. Through her brother Nicholas (deceased) and sister-in-law, Louise Feconda, she enjoyed life-long family and cultural ties to New York City. At home her life centered on her family. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Charlotte Fasi, sons James Fasi and his wife Michele and Joseph Fasi, grandchildren Alicia Priselac and her husband Nicholas and David Fasi, and great-grandchildren, Alexis, Emily and Anderson Priselac. A private mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Paul Church, Glastonbury with burial in St. Augustine Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, CT.
