Obituary of Barbara Dickau

Barbara (Weldon) Dickau, 76, of Palm City, FL, formerly of Glastonbury, died Thursday June 26, 2014. Born October 21, 1937 in Hartford, daughter of the late Bernard and Dorothy (Simon) Weldon, she was raised in Glastonbury and lived here many years before moving to Florida. Barbara married her childhood sweet heart Robert F, Dickau, Sr. who died in 2008. Barbara attended CCSU, enjoyed spending time at her beach house in Rhode Island and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Robert F., Jr. and Nancy Dickau of South Glastonbury, a daughter and son-in-law Robin and John Kilgore of Palm City, FL, a sister Geraldine Hollister of Granby, six grandchildren; Kylee Kilgore and her fiancé Hadi Fakhoury, Chelsea Redick and her husband Jonathan, and Ryan, Kevin, Jordon and Kelly Dickau. She was predeceased by a brother William Weldon and a sister Nancy Weldon. Funeral service will be held Thursday July 10 at 1:00pm in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Green Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday (July 10) from 11am until 1:00pm.
