Obituary of Paul Aceto

Paul J. Aceto, Sr., 88, beloved husband for 58 years of the late Dorothy Weir Aceto of E. Glastonbury, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 14, 2014. The son of the late James and Nettie (Pansullo) Aceto, he grew up in Manchester and moved to East Glastonbury to begin his married life. A loving father and husband he is survived by his three children, Debra Sartwell and husband George, Karen Aceto and companion Jerry Malhotra and son Paul Aceto and wife Lori. Three grandchildren, Kylee Sartwell, Nathan Sartwell and wife Gabrielle and Jarrelle Cuozzo and husband Vincent. He is also predeceased by his brother James D. Aceto. In the 60's he owned and operated Hillardville Luncheonette of Manchester and prior to retirement worked at Purolator. He served in the US Navy and was a Volunteer fireman in Glastonbury for many years. He was an active member of UNICO and one of the founding board of directors of Manchester State Bank. He enjoyed traveling with Dot and spending winters in Florida. The family would like to thank the VNA Hospice Care and Stay@Home-Care with special thanks to Peter, Carol, Nana and Clara and neighbors Carl and Ann. A graveside service will be held Wednesday Sept. 17 at 11:30am in Neipsic Cemetery, East Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury TODAY from 4-7pm.
