I just heard of Mike's passing today and no words can say how sorry I am for your loss. I worked at the dry cleaners Mike went to and every time he would come in it would bring a smile to my face. He would call me boss, talk to us about how our lives are, and even bring us in some donuts every now and then. I will truly miss Mike.

I just opened this week's Glastonbury Citizen and was shocked to see the obit. of Mike's passing. He was a neighbor back in the late 90's. What a wonderful, sweet, kind, fun loving man. He was so rightfully proud of his beautiful daughters. I would run into him around town over the years especially at Stop & Shop, and he was still the same happy go lucky funny guy talking about his beautiful girls.
God Bless you Mike and Peace be with Katherine and Hannah.

Plaese accept my sincerest sympathies for Mike's passing. We have been business colleagues for over 25 years and I can attest to how respected and well liked Mike was. On a personal level we had many dinners together and even an occasional road trip. He'll be remembered for his kindness, generosity, friendship and of course, his joke of the day. God Bless

To the Stepas Family: I just read about Mike's passing. I'm so sorry for your loss. Mike and my brother John (aka 'Weasel') were very close friends growing up and at SCHS. Class of 1969. Mike and Johnny were always together. They were nice enough to give me rides to school (I was a freshman when they were Seniors!). Some of my fondest memories were of the parties we used to throw at our house! The memorial picture of his is exactly as I remember him - he always had the best smile. He was always good to me - he was like part of our family. He is now with Johnny in heaven - they are probably in charge of the beer concession! My sympathies for you all.

Mike, my friend and one of the guy's who pushed me each day during basketball practice...but we always laughed during and after practice, which was a problem for our coaches on occasion ! Being a South Catholic rebel was a natural place for Mike. As any true rebel, he stood up for what he believed was right, while not being against what was right. The Stomper, one of our many great classmates of "69" ! Love ya bud.

1967, Christmas break at South Catholic and we had basketball practice one morning. Mike picked me up in his yellow car. He came all the way down to Alden St., near Colt's Park, from his home to help me out. Entering the gym, we were laughing hysterically about something. Mr Patrick McCue, football coach / Dean of Boys was there by the door. Mike said "Hey, Pat, how are ya!" Needless to say, Mr McCue didn't laugh and we hung rom the chin-up bars for a while. It was worth it.

Michael and I were kindergarden classmates. I would volunteer to arrange our place mats for snack so I could put Michael's next to mine. My mother enrolled me in tap dance because I wanted to dance next to Michael. We were both Broad Street kids. High school came and he went his way and I went mine. He will always be in my memory and heart. He was my childhood love even though he didn't know it. Caroline Michalicki
