Obituary of Henrietta Hawkins

Henrietta (Lutz) Hawkins, 78, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Roger M. Hawkins, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at home. She was born on July 31, 1936 to the late Joseph and Luise (Rahmann) Lutz. Raised in the Plantsville section of Southington she was a proud graduate of the Middlesex Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, later known as the Ona M. Wilcox School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Middlesex Memorial Hospital until she started her family. She was a resident of Glastonbury for 50 years, a devoted wife and wonderful mother. Her loves included creating beauty around her through gardening, cooking, crossword puzzles, care of her home, her beloved cats Elizabeth, Heidi and Casey and vacationing in Arcadia, Maine. She will be missed dearly. Henrietta is survived by her daughter Susan Hawkins and daughter-in-law Jennifer Hanson and her family. She is predeceased by her son David M. Hawkins and her brother Joseph Lutz. Funeral services will be private. The family would like to thank all the caregivers that assisted her and her husband over the years.
