Obituary of David Upton

David A. Upton, 52, of Lebanon, beloved husband of Johanne (Berard) Upton, died peacefully Thursday July 7, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. Born October 22, 1958 in Hartford, son of the late Robert D. and Nancy (Hult) Upton, he had lived in Glastonbury 30 years prior to moving to Lebanon 20 years ago. David owned and operated Uptown Events and Mercury Oil both in Glastonbury. David was an EMT and past president of the Glastonbury Volunteer Ambulance and was an EMT for the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department. He loved the outdoors and skiing and had a very positive outlook right up to the end. If you asked David how he was doing he would always reply "I'm a happy guy". Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Kalie Lynn Morrissette and her husband Tyler of Niantic, 2 brothers Robert Upton and his wife Stacy of White Fish, Montana, Christopher Upton and his wife Carrie of Bridgewater, NJ, a sister Wendy Upton of Chicago, IL and a granddaughter Grace Morrissette. A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday July 21 at 11am in the Congregational Church of South Glastonbury (corner of Main and High Sts). There are no calling hours.
