Dear Bobby, Pamela and all Johnny's Family: Needless to say I was shocked and saddened to hear of your brother's passing. I was on vacation and just found out this week. I am very, very sorry for your loss. Johnny was a nice "kid" with a great smile, always very friendly and pleasant. He will always be remembered. Andrea

We were saddened & shocked to hear of John's sudden passing. We have been bringing our cars into Main St. for over 30 years. John was an awesome guy, always so friendly and easy going. We would always talk about our families and I just liked hanging around waiting for my oil change on Saturday mornings and talking with him. Main St. will not be the same without the BIG guy. Our heartfelt sympathies to his immediate family and the Main Street family. I, personally, will miss him dearly and I know he will be sorely missed by all who knew & loved him......

I'm truly sorry for John's families loss. John and I knew each other for a very long time. He was a really cool guy. We had some good times together that I will always remember. He will always be there in all of our hearts as we remember the good times we all had. Now he's with his family and friends that he hasn't seen in a long time. John until we meet again, keep partying Sincerely, Ed Dzikiewicz ("Dekevitcz")

Patty, Stacey and Family, Please accept our condolences and deepest sympathy over the passing of John. John and I go back to Penney High School. We went to Laconia many times over the years. I used to joke with John that he was an "Automotive Giant" in the Land of East Hartford. Well, this town, and all his family and friends will greatly miss that "Automotive Giant" and his kindness. Everyone who came John's way left with a smile on his face. We will miss him always. It will be difficult to pass by the station and not see him in the yard and yell out the window "Hey John" and get the classic wave back. Best Regards, Chuck and Janice Carter.

So sad to read about John in today's Courant. Lots of memories hit me. I was John's fifth-grade teacher at O'Connell School around 1963-4. It doesn't seem fair for the old teacher to read about the passing of a pupil - no matter the age. John's class was one of my first as a teacher. Bob Jacques and John's sister, Pamela are also former students. How great that they were there to support John. We could always depend upon John to share a joke or 'light moment' when studies were dull or we needed a break. He is fondly remembered. My condolences to John's family. Rest in peace, John.

Please accept my deepest sympathy at this very sad time. I can't express the sadness I felt when hearing of John's passing. I have been a patron of Main Street Automotive for over twenty years. Just last month I was giving him a hard time about not having some kind of air conditioning at the garage, but he just smiled and said we have these... and pointed to the big fans. He will be greatly missed.

My sincerest condolences to Johns family. In all of my 72 years I have learned one important thing and that is that you must cherish each day and treat your loved ones as if there will be no tomorrow... I will miss John deeply. I have been a customer since he opened MSA - all those many years ago - and I just can't grasp going in and him not being there saying; "Hi Smitty". Godspeed John … Joseph F. Smith customer and friend
