I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Luke's family. I read about Luke's songs in the paper and he touched my heart. I don't read the newspaper often, but today I saw the obituary. Words cannot express my sorrow for this brave baby boy, for his loving parents and family. I pray that you will find peace in knowing that Luke is in God's hands. I am so sorry for your loss. May God Bless You.

Dear Shane and Mary Jo, Pat and Pete and Shannon
There are no words to express my deepest sympathies for your loss. The first time I saw Luke's picture I saw the beautiful big blue eyes and certainly thought of Shane. I just heard today and am sorry I did not know sooner.

Dear Mary Jo,
I am so truly sorry for the loss of your beautiful son. I have not been on face book for several years, so I did not know about his illness until recently. I cannot imagine your grief. I will keep you, and Luke, and Pat, and your entire family in my prayers.
May God's peace, love, and light surround you.
Love,
Sue Woods Allaire (friend and former co-worker from CHFA)

Dear Mary Jo and Shane,
It is with deepest sorrow and regrets that we learnt about sad demise of baby Luke, By his passing away, he has left an empty space which cannot be filled easily. Nothing can replace the beauty of one’s life, the goodness of one’s heart and the integrity of one’s soul.
We are never prepared for the loss of a loved one but God is always prepared to help us through that loss. God knows your loss, lay your burdens in His hands for He is strong. Rest your head on His shoulders for He is compassionate. Give to Him your pain and sorrows for He is love.
Although it is sad to lose those who are dear to us, there is comfort in remembering all the times they made such a difference in our lives.
May his soul find salvation and rest in eternal bliss and may God give you all, courage enough to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
May all your cherished memories help to comfort you in some way and may they bring you hope and strength with each passing day.
Please accept out deepest condolences,
Kamal and Lilly Iyer

I am so sorry for your loss. I can not even begin to imagine the depth of your pain. I know everybody says this kind of stuff, but it is because it is true: Luke is in Heaven. He is with Mother Mary, Jesus, the angels and all of his family that had gone before him. Total bliss. And you will be with him when it is your time to go back to the Father. Blessings, Leah.

There are no words, but I will try. A parent's grief is the deepest kind of grief...one I can't even fully imagine. I can only say that you were very very lucky to be the parents of this amazingly beautiful, kind, sweet and precious boy. Hearts have broken all over the country for Luke and for your family. May you have eventual peace knowing that his spirit is still with you, and that you were the best parents ever. P.S. Sue, thank you for putting Rufus in the obit. (Smiling through tears...) Love and prayers to you all in this terribly sad time.
When you pick a flower, you always pick the prettiest and most perfect one. That must have been God's thinking when He picked Luke to come home. I know he has touched thousands of lives and will touch thousands more with his legacy, whatever you decide it will be. God bless your family.

MJ & Shane,
Our warmest & deepest condolences. We thank you for sharing your precious sweet baby Luke with us. May our Lord bless and comfort you and your family during this difficult time. Luke will be cherished, in our memories, forever.
A quote from my son, Andrew's, favorite author A. A. Milne & favorite character -- Winnie the Pooh: “If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you.”
Sending you and your family love, light & blessings.

One thing that I learned after Everett passed was that he would be greeted by many that would make his transition peaceful and loving. There was nothing painful or scary about it. In fact, I am almost certain that Rett, Cecilia, and Danny (three other rhabdoid babies that passed this year) were there to greet him with excitement. I'm sure there are others too and as years pass, I'm sure we'll hear of them, now that we are in this rhabdoid world. They will make an adorable gang of goodness. We know how special these children were here on earth. Think of them together playing tricks on us and showing us beautiful signs in nature--their best way of communicating. Please reach out to me when you are ready. Good luck with the funeral this weekend. I wish I could be there for you.

Don't say that I will depart tomorrow--even today I am still arriving.
Look deeply: every second I am arriving to be a bud on a Spring branch, to be a tiny bird, with still-fragile wings, learning to sing in my new nest, to be a caterpillar in the heart of a flower, to be a jewel hiding itself in a stone...Thich Nhat Hanh

My very deepest condolences to Mom, Dad and entire family. One who has never lost a child will never know how you feel. I lost my eldest son 5 years ago next month. The Lord let him be with me for 44 years but there never is a time attached to our children. Be strong know Luke will be ever close watching over you . Your Luke Gary was such a beautiful little boy with those big blue eyes we never can understand why the Lord takes him from us it's just a better place for them they tell us. Why babies like Luke are struck with such a disease is one I never will understand. My prayers are with you. Shirley
