I'll never understand why someone pops into your mind, you go to Google them and find an obituary...I had the privilege of being Cheryl's personal trainer from 2008-2010. I always enjoyed my time with her and wanted to reach out to say hi. I guess this is my way of saying "hi". My condolences to her friends and family. She was a terrific individual.

I was thinking about you today as we are yet doing another LIMA show and thought I would write a post. Although greatly missed by so many, including me, I know you are loved, young, happy and full of spunk again in that grand place called heaven. I am honored you were a friend to me and when we meet again, you better have a glass of wine waiting for us to toast.

I am so sad to learn of Cheryl's passing. I first met her back in the early 80's when she was at Hallmark. She was always honest, hardworking, smart, and dedicated to her clients and friends. The Charity work she did with LIMA is a beacon for all who will follow her.
And most of all, I will miss her warm smile. Although we were competitors her kindness to me always remained.

So sad to hear of Cheryl's passing.. I first met Cheryl when she was with Hallmark and had licensed my Dad, (LJN Toys) to do Betsey Clark product.. a long time ago.. I had the pleasure of reconnecting with Cheryl within the last few years, and, as always, she was a joy and an inspiration to work with.
My sincere condolences to her family and loved ones.

Gosh, we will miss you Cheryl. Talks about my farmhouse, horses and chickens & learning some of the rural life from your growing up were my fondest. You were so tenacious in your deal making and frankly, in everything you did. You put 120% in and did it with southern charm, noone ever knew what hit them! You were so good! :) one of the most important lessons I learned from you, I remember so clearly. I was working for The Beanstalk Group over 15 yrs ago when we met. I worked on my first deal with you and you said, "don't ever make a deal you don't feel proud of, because you may work with them again." At the time I didn't know what it meant and might have been a little scared! :) But, now I do. Every day, I try to think of that and be sure my deals are fair and am always cautious as one thing I have learned is... some of your best friends are the ones you work with in this Licensing business and we all look after one another. Thank you for that.
We will miss you Cheryl!
Xoxo

I am so greatly saddened to learn of Cheryl's passing. We have been industry colleagues for over 30 years going way way back to working together on Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. We also shared a bond in having the same first name, spelled the same way and sometimes receiving each other's emails by mistake. Most importantly, Cheryl was a such a wonderful person, with a depth of spirit and an abundance of kindness. Beyond her stellar reputation as a key executive and leader in the licensing industry, her leadership of the LIMA Charity Committee was dedicated and fearless. I will miss Cheryl's presence and my deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends.

I was so very blessed to know Cheryl these last 9 years - she started out a colleague and grew into a dear friend. I remain truly in awe of what a beautiful spirit Cheryl was - kind, loving, gracious and determined to make a difference. She is one of those people in life who truly left her mark on this world. She inspired me on so many levels to give more, be more, do more - and, in all things, to lead with my heart. She is so very loved and so very missed.

It was with great sadness that I read about Cheryl's passing. I was fortunate enough to have known Cheryl for the past 15 years as we worked together at Children's Apparel Network reviewing new children's properties.
She always had great insight and enthusiasm during the numerous presentations we sat through together. When I was having problems with my career, Cheryl was more than happy to meet me for lunch and share her own personal experiences and give sound advice.
I will miss Cheryl's smile and her choices of eye catching glasses. She was a wonderful person and someone I was proud to call a friend.
With sincere condolences,
Albert Solano
