It was a great pleasure knowing Mike. Since his beginning at Loos&Co, until my retirement in 2013 we had a great time.
He was well respected and took all of his "jobs" seriously.
He will be missed in the wire and cable. He was a great leader and a wealth of knowledge. His memory astounded me.
You will be missed, rest in peace...

Michael and I had the great pleasure of knowing Mike through the Association of Wire Rope Fabricators. I, personally, remember how welcoming he was to me when I started coming to the conventions and what an interesting person he was to be with. Talking with him was not just talking to a business associate, you really felt like you had his full attention and his range of interests made for great conversations. Reading his Facebook page these past few days has been sad, but it has also been wonderful to read the tributes from his friends and family. He will be dearly missed...

As a long time friend and business associate of Mike's, I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was a class act and one of those friends that even though you don't get to see often, always greeted with warmth when you did.
I am grateful to have known him and certain that he will live on in the heart and lives of you guys still.
Peace be with you and yours,
Linda

Dear family of Michael,
I remember a tenderness about Mike when becoming good friends with him in high school. I felt like he kept a watchful eye on me, as only a good friend does. His tender kindness and sense of humor will always be remembered. Mike, you seemed so…logical..in the face of high school games and the artificial side of the social scene- You were wise beyond your years, and how many of us really listened? You are a special soul who will share your powerful communication, wherever you are. God bless ya buddy…xo Huntly Boyce (BMS '75)

Mike and I go back to the time he was appointed Sales Manger at Strandflex. He hired me to represent the company in the mid-West. Over time, we became the best of friends. Worked well together.
If I was asked to assemble my friends for a photo shot......Mike would be in the front row.

Mike Wallace hired me ten years ago at Loos & Company. For those ten years his mentoring had a significant impact on my life. At his funeral service today they spoke of his passion for many things. I was lucky to experience a little of that while working for him; his passion for success and pride in his work and of course his impeccable style. I've since moved on to become Business Manager at Sterling Community School and wish to thank Mike for his teaching and confidence in my abilities. Rest in peace, Boss.

I'm so sorry for our loss, he was a good friend and a great person to work with. My company has worked with Mike for 17 years, or since I have joined Waters & David, Co.
I was just traveling with him a couple of weeks ago in Texas. We were talking about our retirement plans, darn shame he didn't make it. He wanted to reconnect with his old school friends. I'm know he will be missed dearly.

My family moved house when I was 11, to a newly built home on the property of a recently subdivided manor. Mike lived essentially next door in the old manor house. We went to different schools and moved in different circles, but rapidly became great friends, particularly when it came to touch football in the backyard, or basketball in the driveway. Michael was much more adept at sports than I was, and to this day I can hear his belly laugh if I threw a hissy-fit at missing a free throw or a flubbed a punt. My good friend Bob Maszarose from my old neighborhood not far away would often join us, and we 3 became fast friends, roaming about the rural-ish neighborhood environs on weekends, and later roaming about dark North Baltimore environs on weekend evenings. Mike's circle of friends from BL was a big part of our nighttime adventures. Ah, those were the days, my friend Mike.
We lost touch after dispersing to college, then reunited about a decade ago, at Bob's house in Dallas area, then for Mike's mother's passing in Baltimore. Mike made a point of finding me when he traveled to Asia - - shared a room in Singapore during the Singapore Air Show; dinner and stuff in Hong Kong and in Shanghai when I lived in those places. Mike really did well for himself, the consummate sales VP in manner and dress, with an engaging pitch to the trade show hoi polloi from the entrance of the LoosCo booth. Where did all those proud photos of Mike with prospective customers go?
He seemed happy. Hope he still is. Hope we yet get together again on another day.
All the best up there, Mike. We miss you.

My condolences to the Wallace family on Mike's passing. I knew and worked with Mike Wallace for 10 years while I was with Maryland Specialty Wire. Mike was a great person and I learned a lot from him about sales and marketing. I remember Mike talking about his years at The Boy's Latin School and I am proud to say that our son is a freshman at Boys Latin.
Rest in Peace Mike,

Michael,
I'm so sorry that you're gone well before your time. You've been a great friend for 50 years, and I'm going to miss you. Reminiscing with Kirvan, Brent, and Bryant has really made me smile and brought tears to my eyes on numerous occasions. You were always a steadfast friend and a true gentleman. I love you, Mike!

Mike,
I had the pleasure of being your co-worker and more importantly your friend. Your knowledge and passion for the wire rope industry was unmatched. You also had a great passion for Boys Latin and the sport of Lacrosse. What you've taught me over the years will remain and carry on. I will never forget the many rounds of golf we enjoyed together, traveling for work, business dinners, and great conversation. RIP good friend.
