Obituary of Maria P. Monteiro

Maria P. (Fortunato) Monteiro, 98, of Winter Gardens, FL, formerly of East Hartford, wife of the late Joao Monteiro, died Saturday February 27, 2016. Born June 1, 1917, she had lived in East Hartford many years moving to Florida in 2000. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Adozinda and Larry DeRocher, Marie and Dick Pasquale and Bill and Maria Monteiro all of Florida, a daughter-in-law Carmen Monteiro of South Windsor and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Saul Monteiro and Manuel Monteiro. Funeral service will be held Thursday (March 3) at 11am in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00am.
