Dear Jean and family,
My late husband John and I worked with Chet at TP&M. Jean, I remember meeting you at parties and TPM reunions.
I fondly remember Chet going out during lunch with a brown lunch bag and picking mushrooms along the railroad tracks!! Amazing his knowledge between what was good to eat and what was poison.
I am very sorry for your loss and will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Most Sincerely,
Joanne O'Briant

First, our deepest sympathy to the family. Having gone through the loss of my own parents some eight years ago, I know how difficult it is to say goodbye to a parent who has given so much to their children. Even though my own father's quality of life the last year was very poor, the thing I missed the most was not talking with him and for Aunt Jean the most difficult part is saying goodbye to a lifetime partner, friend, and confidant. That is when having kids and grandkids helps. Uncle Chet was always my idol. He went to college, the only Uncle I have that went to Engineering or significant schooling beyond high school. When I was going to Chicopee High, he came to our JETS club and spoke about careers and college. I had invited him and he came. I remember sometime just before his wedding driving with him and his wife to be around on the UMass campus. I thought his girlfriend was beautiful and had a crush on her. I always enjoyed his presence and in many ways I copied his life which I thought was a wonderful life with a beautiful wife and family. He and Aunt Jean coming to our Polish Christmas Eve Celebration was always a highlight for me. I followed in his footsteps - became an Engineer, also got my Masters, traveled the world, married my own Polish girl, had three girls and a boy with the boy being the third born. I will deeply miss him even though over the years our lives get so busy with kids, grandkids and work that time flies by and it becomes harder to keep in touch. Uncle Chet always had great faith and did good things with an open heart. He is in a good place now, free from a body that was only temporary. Carol, I and our family knew him as a person and we express our deepest sympathy to you on your great loss. We will remember Uncle Chet and all of you in our prayers.
