Obituary of Carolyn Margaret Ciaglo
Carolyn Ciaglo, 71, answered the call of the angels on Saturday, July 16 at her home in Guilford after a long illness. Born in Hartford, CT on July 4th, 1945, she was the eldest daughter of the late Edward McCormack and Margaret (Rempe) McCormack. She grew up in East Hartford and is formerly of Manchester, Marlborough, and Southampton, Bermuda. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 50 years, William Robert Ciaglo and their children - Kevin & Karen Ciaglo of Glastonbury, Gregory Ciaglo & Mark John Isola of Somerville, MA, and David & Kristy Ciaglo of Libertyville, IL; their grandchildren – Megan, Owen, Grace, Aidan, Matthew, and Jaxon; and siblings – Kathee McCormack of Wells, ME, Dennis McCormack of Tolland, and Patricia McCormack of Spring Hill, FL. She is predeceased by her cherished son William Robert Ciaglo II. A graduate of St. Rose School and East Hartford High School, Carolyn received a B.A. from the University of Hartford. Whether climbing the Great Wall of China, traveling across Europe, or enjoying a glass of red wine as she soaked in the Guilford countryside from her home, Carolyn lived life to the fullest…always bringing a smile to those around her. She will be sorely missed by all those who loved her. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, July 19 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave, Glastonbury. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 20 at 11:00am at St. Dunstan Catholic Church, 1345 Manchester Rd, Glastonbury. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, 360 Broad St, Manchester.
