Obituary of John William Wheeldon Wray

John William Wheeldon Wray, 77, died Nov 22nd at home after a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, 4 children, 5 grandchildren and many extended family members and friends who adored him. John was a talented artist and musician, a great reader, a boater, a gardener and cook. He loved his life and all the people in it and possessed an infectious enthusiasm for everything he did. A special thanks to Margaret Becker, APRN and the entire staff of the ALS team at the West Haven VA Hospital who demonstrated caring and compassion mixed with humor and patience as John regaled them with his endless stories. We are forever grateful to Hillary McFarland of New England Home Care who developed a very special relationship with John and constantly lifted his spirits.
