Obituary of G. Neil Frazier
G. Neil Frazier, 88, of Glastonbury, died Thursday June 21, 2012 at home. He was born in Erie, PA. on February 9, 1924 the son of the late John C. and Gertrude (Armstrong) Frazier. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1945 and received his Master's degree in Physics from Brown University in 1950. He had served in the Navy in World War II and the Korean War. He joined Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a Physicist and retired after 28 years as Vice President of Engineering. He had a passion for reading and travel, especially to Bermuda, Maine and Israel. He leaves his beloved wife of 52 years Janet, four children: David Frazier and partner Betsey Lytle, Kathleen Simonetti and her husband Michael, Christine Roudebush and her husband Wilfred, and Robin Pietrick and her husband John; six grandchildren: Jennifer Crawford, Sarah Pulschen, Jenna Gray, Jill Lawson, Matthew Roudebush and Kelly Roudebush, and 3 great grandsons; Jackson Crawford, Andrew Gray and Grant Pulschen. He was predeceased by his brother Jack Frazier and a sister Alyce McKay. A memorial service will be celebrated on Monday, July 2 at 11am in the Congregational Church of South Glastonbury, corner of Main and High Sts. Burial with military honors in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middletown will be private. There are no calling hours.
