Obituary of Melvyn D. Klein

Melvyn D. Klein “Mel”, 81, of Glastonbury beloved husband of Judith (Vinson) Klein, died Thursday January 26, 2017 at the Glastonbury Health Care Center, surrounded by his family. Born October 17, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Sam and Florence (Cohen) Klein he had lived in Virginia Beach before moving to Glastonbury. Prior to his retirement he was a professional photographer. Besides his wife he is survived by 2 sons, Lee Klein of Boylston, MA, Huck Hirsch and his partner Jim Brodsky of Southold, NY, 2 daughters and their husbands, Hillary Stern and Marc Kronisch of Storrs, Renee and Doug Sherman of Westfield, NJ, 2 brothers Jerry Klein of Plainview, NY, Joel Klein of Ryebrook, NY, 5 grandchildren, Joseph Klein, Jonathan and Zoe Sherman, Joey and Lara Caradimitropoulo and 2 step grandchildren Sarah and Zachary Kronisch.
